Current bikes:
My most current project. It has been a month or so since acquiring it November 2, 2009. I went and bought everything needed for it to run and a few parts to convert it to a cafe bike (what else?) like clip-ons, headlight brackets, megaphones, etc. After getting all the parts and prepping it for its first start, it would not start! It came down to low compression. So it is currently disassembled and getting cleaned up. Next up is powdercoating!
Archived bikes:
1972 Honda CB175 - This was my latest project. I'm still liking the little twins lately. The 175s are more plentiful than 160s and have a few more features. 5 speed tranny, kickstand, tach, turn signals. I was thinking cb200t but the 175 has more in common with the 160 so it has more parts available (read aftermarket stuff). It has since been sold to fund the next project. 11/09.
1965 Honda CB160 - It was a complete teardown and rebuild in two months! But, it has been sold due to the bad economic times! Sad. But I will probably build another one this year or winter time. It will be better, I assure you!
>> Sold!
1990 Honda Hawk GT - Probably the one bike I regretted most about selling. I will likely get another down the road. A great do-all bike. My son may also get one. Fits both of us perfect. Perfect power, handling and looks great!
1982 CB900f - This was my main rider. She now sports rims from a CBR600 (f2 and f3), new 17" Avon's, new Corbin dual seat and a CB1100f swingarm. Currently, I am waiting on a set of Keihin CR carbs. I need more power! She also needs a new Cobra exhaust and Ohlin shocks. See the page for current build status.
>> Sold!
1994 Honda CBR900f - Street fighter project #1! >> Sold!
New! New pics of the CR400! I was contacted by the new owner in Ohio. Has new seat, Keihin carbs and an oil cooler. Awesome!
The alloy tank is now installed! Parked in the house 3/07.
I finally put on a new seat and painted both the seat and front fender silver.
1975 Honda CR400 - race bike (9/03 to 10/04) - Updated pages! Well, I ripped off the street stuff and she's (again) a racer. I'm in the process of rejetting the newly installed bored out carbs. Runs great with the larger jets. >> Sold!
1975 Honda CB400r - race bike (6/02 to 10/03)- Updated pages 3 & 4! This bike sacrificed most of the good parts for the cafe bike & has been pretty much terminated. All the research and road testing it has been refined and ported to the street/cafe bike.
